Code of Conduct

Inclusive and Diverse Teams

Every NDSL team is expected to foster an inclusive and encouraging space where all players feel valued and supported. NDSL stands firmly for equal representation and opportunity, ensuring that no player is sidelined on the basis of gender, ability or background. We are especially passionate about inspiring girls and young people from marginalized communities to not only participate in drone soccer, but to step up and lead within it.

Respect and Anti-Harassment

Every individual who takes part in NDSL is entitled to equal participation and to be treated with dignity and respect. NDSL upholds a strict zero-tolerance stance against bullying, racism, bigotry and harassment in any form. Coaches, officials and team leaders bear the responsibility of promptly reporting any known or suspected situation that places a minor at risk or is deemed inappropriate. Any form of retaliation directed at individuals who come forward to report harassment will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Safe Drone Operation

Each pilot and team member bears individual responsibility for ensuring their drone and equipment are in safe working condition at all times. All flights must take place strictly within the netted arena or an officially designated practice zone. Reckless operation of drones or deliberate attempts to damage the equipment or endanger fellow players will not be accepted under any circumstances. Every participant — students and coaches alike — is expected to remain alert and situationally aware at all times, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of everyone in attendance.

Anonymous Reporting

NDSL offers a confidential reporting channel for anyone who needs to flag an unsafe situation or instance of inappropriate conduct. Reports may be submitted anonymously to NDSL administrators by reaching out to info@naijadronesoccerleague.org. All personal identifying information will be handled with the utmost confidentiality, except in cases where the situation involves a suspected criminal act or a threat to public safety that legally requires escalation to the relevant authorities.

Integrity and Fair Play

No team or individual is permitted to interfere with the equipment or operations of any other team. Prohibited conduct includes radio frequency interference, signal jamming, hacking, deliberate distraction, disruptive behavior, eavesdropping or any form of tampering with equipment. Any participant found to be in violation of this rule will face immediate disqualification and will be subject to disciplinary action by NDSL officials.
